Tampa, FL – February 20th, 2018… The Florida Cancer Specialists (FCS) Foundation is excited to announce the 2ndAnnual Shrimp & Crawfish Festival will be chaired by FCS physicians, Drs. Waide Weaver and James Reeves, Jr. The event will be held on April 7th, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Tampa Cancer Center, located at 3402 Dr. M.L. King Jr., Tampa, Florida 33607.
This year the event will include live music by Lucky Penny and a dunk tank, bounce house, face painting and balloon artist! FCS Physicians and Co-Chairs, Drs. Waide Weaver and James Reeves, Jr., agreed that, “The Shrimp & Crawfish Festival will be fun for the entire family and is a great way to raise funds for cancer patients in need. Without local events like this, the FCS Foundation would not be able to donate over 800 grants a year to help cancer patients in need with non-medical living expenses.”
CEO of Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute and Board Chair of the FCS Foundation, Bradley Prechtl, MBA, said, “The Foundation Board members and staff appreciate the continued support of our local community and our partnership with the Tampa Bay Lightning and Buccaneers. I am looking forward to another successful Shrimp & Crawfish Festival at the Tampa Cancer Center!”
Foundation Board member, Cory J. Person, Esq., added, “As a Foundation Board Member, it’s great to see the involvement of FCS staff, physicians and volunteers who assist to ensure the event is a success for the second year in a row. The Shrimp and Crawfish Festival is a great event to bring the kids to; it’s fun for the entire family!”
FCS Foundation Executive Director, Lynn Rasys, added, “The inaugural Shrimp and Crawfish Festival in 2017 was such a big hit that we knew we had to make this an annual event. We are expecting this year to be even more fun and help even more cancer patients with their non-medical living expenses.”
